Annette Richie, Senior Project Manager/Senior Designer

Annette is an original Water Design employee and was a crucial part of the transition from Curtis Engineers to Water Design Inc. in 1997. Annette is a senior designer with extensive design experience. Annette's experience with the design of PVC laminated stainless steel pool systems is unparalleled.  She has created an efficient process, and has a superior understanding of the design and construction process of these types of pools.  Her experience has led to a good working relationship with various manufacturers and is able to communicate effectively to ensure a successful project.  Annette's diverse design experience has proven invaluable. She is responsible for providing design, drafting and specifications for swimming pools, spas, fountains and other water features. Annette specializes in large municipal recreation centers, aquatic centers, water parks and educational aquatic facilities. She works closely with architects, contractors, and owners to develop schematic and construction drawings. She also works closely with health department officials to address safety concerns and to assure designs meet health code requirements. Annette creates comprehensive coordination packets that are critical on such large projects; this level of coordination is what sets Water Design apart from other consultants. She also reviews submittals and performs other construction administration functions.

She supervises and trains other designers and drafters and performs peer reviews. Annette also attends site visits and prepares detailed field reports. Annette also provides management duties in the absence of the company president. She has been instrumental in developing many of Water Design’s construction details, operational procedures and standards. Annette is currently Utah Chapter Director of the ASPS (formerly the NSPI).
