Davis Middle School -Competition Pool Renovation

Date: 9/16/2006

This project was a renovation of an existing 35 year old exposed stainless steel pool and gutter system. A PVC coated stainless steel pool technology was chosen for the gutter system and new wall panels on the L-shaped pool.  The pool has a 6 lane, 25 yard racing course and a 6 lane 25 meter racing course, 13 feet at it’s deepest point, there are two (2), 1 meter diving towers.  Through creative planning and solution development, we were able to reutilize the existing support structures and we developed a unique method to attach new PVC coated stainless steel wall panels and the tile trimmed gutter system to the existing pool wall supports.  Thanks to the use of the PVC coated stainless steel technology the problems with the exposed stainless pool is a thing of the past.
