Company Biography:
General: Our many years of experience has included a wide array of professional engineering services from many disciplines. In recent years Water Design, Inc. has specialized almost exclusively in swimming pool and water feature design. Over the past five (5) years we have designed and consulted in the construction of over one thousand five hundred (1,500) swimming pools and water features. Water Design, Inc. has developed a large array of experience in the design of swimming pools and water features for sport complexes, recreational centers, community centers, aquatic centers, educational facilities, resorts, hotels, country clubs, town homes, condominiums, apartment complexes, and high-end residential projects among others. Swimming Pool and Water Feature Design: The size and types of features we have designed are very diverse. We have designed many full Olympic size swimming pools for schools and recreational centers that are used primarily for competition and training. We have also designed leisure pools, water activity pools, lazy rivers, water playgrounds, splash pads, water park recreational pools, wave pools, water slides with splash pools, therapy pools, special purpose pools, and water features of all varieties. Aside from community, municipal, and aquatic based projects, we have designed many resort, hotel, and high-end residential projects that place a greater emphasis on pleasing aesthetics along with unique finish selections. All of our swimming pool designs include pools of all shapes and sizes incorporating water depths ranging from “zero depth” beach type entries to 18 foot deep diving bowls. We have designed pools of all sizes including pools with surface areas in excess of 23,000 square feet. We have designed pools with over 1,000,000 gallons of water and filtration flow rates in excess of 3,000 gallons per minute. Many of our recent projects have included water play features and/or “interactive play features” that make these pools very attractive to patrons of all ages. Zero Entries, diving boards, racing lanes, water slides, and other recreational water features are commonly included in these designs. Many of the recreation center and community pools we have designed recently have been deck level continuous gutter pools with the water level and the surrounding pool decks at the same elevation. Our designs utilize state of the art chemical controls and supplemental water treatment systems such as Ozone and ultra-violet have been utilized where the Client wishes to reduce the chemical sanitizer requirements, chloramines in the air, and enhance water clarity. Coordination: Water Design has a history of working closely with Owners, Architects, Engineers, Pool Contractors, Developers, City Government Entities, County Health Departments, and State Health Departments in coordinating the design and eliminating engineering design problems. We are committed to satisfying our clients and providing the highest professional services. |
